50 years ago the football was not a high-tech synthetic product which was laser-measured and tested in wind tunnels. These were the days when myths were born, such as the Miracle of Bern and the Wembley Goal, with always the same performer in focus: The good old leather ball. And this special one is the copy of the historical football of the World Championship in Bern, 1954. The eighteen hand-sewn panels of the Torelli 54 Bern are made of vegetable tanned and tumbled calf leather from the Allgaeu region. Its outer skin is neither pressed, varnished or filled with synthetic materials. This saddlers masterpiece is not only meant for the display cabinet. The ball offers a unique sensation which kickers can only dream about. To maintain it for many generations, it should be treated only with natural products, like beewax.
